Uganda’s U19 men’s cricket team, the Baby Cricket Cranes, will compete in the 2026 ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Division 1 Qualifier, set to take place in Lagos, Nigeria, from March 26 to April 6, 2025.
The tournament will determine the sole African representative to join hosts Zimbabwe and Namibia at the main event.
Uganda secured direct entry into the Division 1 Qualifier based on their performance in the previous edition held in Tanzania.
They will be joined by fellow automatic qualifiers Kenya and Namibia, while hosts Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania earned their spots through the Division 2 Qualifier in August 2024.
The Ugandan team will begin their campaign against Tanzania on March 29 before facing regional rivals Kenya the following day.
