MTN Uganda, in partnership with Entebbe Club, hosted the MTN March Quarterly Tee on March 22, 2025, celebrating women’s contributions to golf while introducing the Samsung S25 series to the Ugandan market.
The event underscored MTN’s dedication to empowering women in sports and delivering innovative technology to its customers.
Female golfers received exclusive cashback on green fees, courtesy of MTN MoMo, in a move to encourage greater female participation in golf.
The Samsung S25 series launch added a tech-forward flair, offering customers affordable payment plans and bonus benefits, including free data, talk time, and SMS bundles.
MTN Uganda’s Chief Financial Officer, Andrew Bugembe, represented CEO Sylvia Mulinge at the event, emphasizing MTN’s mission to foster sports and innovation.
“Golf mirrors our values of precision, patience, and passion, and we remain committed to supporting unstoppable Ugandans in their aspirations,” Bugembe remarked.
The event concluded with the vibrant “19th Hole” celebration featuring entertainment from Iryn Namubiru and an all-women lineup, surprise challenges, and an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding performances.
Jamil Maningi emerged as the overall winner, while top prizes like Samsung S25 phones and Samsung microwaves highlighted the day’s success.
