Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap is reportedly set to decline interest from Manchester United, choosing instead to pursue a move to a Premier League club competing in European football next season.
The 22-year-old is tipped for a £30m summer transfer, with Chelsea and Arsenal emerging as his preferred destinations.
According to reports, Delap is hesitant to join United, who currently sit 14th in the Premier League standings.
The club’s hopes of Champions League qualification hinge solely on winning the Europa League, while Arsenal are almost assured European competition next term and Chelsea remain in contention.
Delap’s future has been further clouded by Ipswich’s relegation battle, as the Tractor Boys face the prospect of dropping to the Championship.
His release clause of £30m would be triggered if Ipswich fail to retain their Premier League status.
