St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School, Kitende Executive Director Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa has tasked his players to deliver this year’s football national title.
This comes after the football powerhouse retained the Wakiso Zone Football Championship title after a 2-0 win over rivals Buddo Secondary School in the final played on Tuesday at the Wakisha Resource Centre grounds.
Goals from Bahati Bitwayiki and Santos Agok were enough for Kitende to retain the pride of one of Uganda’s most intense school football rivalries.
“I love the kind of football that you displayed in the Wakiso final. I was enjoying it throughout. I do not want to see us relaxing, there is something bigger – the national championship. Remain focused and positive, love your school and work towards success,” Mulindwa noted during the welcome party of the team.

Kitende were eliminated in the semifinals by Amus College during last year’s national championship before Amus was beaten at the final by reigning champions St Julian high school.
Mulindwa has tasked his charges to reclaim the lost glory with a record 12th title this year.
The 2025 national championship will be hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive School from May 15th -20th.
