He said this following the official flag-off of two teams headed to the CAF Africa Schools Football Championship in Ghana.

Speaking during a ceremony held at Parliament and presided over by Speaker Annita Annet Among, Magogo commended St. Noa Girls and St. Mary’s Kitende for their contribution to the growth of Ugandan football.

“These schools have been instrumental in developing Ugandan football. I want to appreciate their commitment and wish them success in Ghana,” he said.

Uganda’s girls’ representatives have already arrived in Accra for the tournament kicks off on April 23 and will run through April 26, featuring top teams from across the CAF regions.

Magogo, who also serves as the MP for Budiope East, further applauded the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) for its role in developing young talent and strengthening school sports across the country.
