Manchester United have dispatched scouts to monitor Atalanta stars Ederson and Mateo Retegui ahead of the summer transfer window, as manager Ruben Amorim looks to reshape his squad.
Reports indicate that United observed Atalanta during their clash with AC Milan, with both players drawing interest.
Ederson, a Brazil international, has been crucial to Atalanta’s setup, making 44 appearances and scoring five goals across all competitions. Meanwhile, Retegui has been in top form, netting 23 Serie A goals in 31 games alongside nine assists.
Atalanta only signed Retegui last summer for €28 million (£24m/$32m) from Genoa, meaning the club could secure a hefty profit if United moves forward with their interest.
However, losing both key players would be a significant blow, especially with Liverpool reportedly tracking Ademola Lookman as well.
Ederson has also been linked with Manchester City, raising questions about Atalanta’s ability to retain their top talents.
