Referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea reported Rudiger threw an ice cube, potentially leading to a lengthy ban under Spanish Football Federation rules regarding violence or assault on officials.
The dismissals capped a tense final, won 3-2 by Barcelona after extra time, amid existing friction between Real Madrid and the referee.
