Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has surprisingly been named in Ruben Amorim’s squad for Thursday’s Europa League semi-final first leg against Athletic Club.
Initially feared out for the season after an injury in February, Diallo’s return is a major boost for United, who are looking to European glory amidst a disappointing Premier League campaign.
In 36 appearances this season, he has nine goals and eight assists.
Defender Matthijs de Ligt has also travelled. United face Athletic in Bilbao before the return leg at Old Trafford next week.
