Alex Manninger, who won the Premier League and FA Cup with Arsenal and earned 33 caps for Austria, has died at 48 after his car was hit by a train near Salzburg.
Manninger played for 14 clubs across Europe, including Juventus, Udinese and Liverpool, and was remembered for his composure and professionalism.
Tributes from Arsenal, Juventus and the Austrian FA praised him as a respected figure on and off the pitch.
