Tottenham midfielder James Maddison has given his full support to manager Ange Postecoglou, calling him a “great man” even as the club sits a disappointing 16th in the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of their Europa League semi-final against Bodø/Glimt, Maddison acknowledged their league form was “unacceptable” but insisted the players are “100 per cent” behind the Australian.
Postecoglou’s future has been questioned amid the poor domestic results, though a successful Europa League run, with a semi-final against the Norwegian side kicking off tomorrow, could be crucial.
Maddison believes Spurs can still achieve a “very successful season” in Europe despite their league struggles.
Potential replacements like Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola have been linked with the club.
