Despite a 1-0 Champions League semi-final first-leg loss to Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates, Arsenal’s Mikel Merino remains defiant.
He insisted the Gunners can still reach the final, stating, “We have proved we can win anywhere… I think we are going to win the second leg.”
Merino’s early second-half goal was disallowed, and PSG later hit the bar.
However, the midfielder pointed to Arsenal’s past away victories, including against Real Madrid, as a source of confidence.
With Thomas Partey returning from suspension for the Paris clash, Merino could move back into a forward position.
Both Arsenal and PSG are seeking their first Champions League title.
