Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has been ruled out of the Champions League semifinal second leg against Inter Milan after suffering a hamstring injury in the first leg draw on Wednesday.
Tests confirmed the injury today, leaving the French right-back unavailable for Tuesday’s crucial return at the San Siro.
While Barcelona didn’t specify his recovery time, Kounde is also a major doubt for the LaLiga Clasico against Real Madrid on May 11 and will miss Saturday’s game against Real Valladolid.
Kounde, who has played 53 games this season, was replaced by Eric Garcia against Inter.
This injury is a significant blow for Barcelona as they chase a potential quadruple and hold a four-point lead over Real Madrid in the league.
