Ollie Watkins struck in the dying moments of the first half to give Aston Villa a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
The win lifts Villa level on points with European qualification rivals Chelsea and Newcastle.
Despite a tight first half with few clear chances, Watkins’s late touch on a Morgan Rogers cross proved decisive.
The goal also etched his name in Aston Villa history, making him their all-time top Premier League scorer with 75 goals.
Bournemouth pushed for an equaliser, even having a late headed goal ruled out for offside.
Villa’s Jacob Ramsey was sent off in the 81st minute, but they held firm to secure a vital three points.
