Lady Cranes 7s Triumph in South Africa

The Uganda Lady Cranes 7s won the inaugural Willem Strauss International 7s tournament title after a thrilling victory over South Africa in the final.

In a closely contested match, the Lady Cranes emerged victorious with a 12-10 scoreline, securing a historic win against the host nation.

The victory capped off a remarkable tournament for the Lady Cranes, who showcased their skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the competition.

Meanwhile, the Uganda Men’s 7s team, who were hampered by visa issues, managed to secure a third-place finish in the tournament. They defeated the South Africa All-Stars 40-07 in the third-place playoffs.
