KCCA have officially announced the return of their former star striker, Sadat Anaku.
The talented forward, who made a name for himself with his goal-scoring prowess during his previous stint with the club, has signed a contract that will keep him at KCCA until the end of the 2024-25 season.
Anaku’s journey with KCCA began in 2016 when he joined the club’s junior team while still a student at Kibuli Secondary School.
His time in the youth ranks was marked by exceptional performances, culminating in him becoming the all-time top scorer of the FUFA Juniors League with an impressive 83 goals in just 52 matches.
In 2019, Anaku was promoted to the KCCA senior team, where he quickly established himself as a key player.
His goal-scoring exploits continued, and he made significant contributions to the club’s success. During his previous stints with KCCA, Anaku netted a total of 22 goals in 67 appearances for the senior side.
After a brief spell with Scottish club Dundee United, Anaku’s return to KCCA has been met with great enthusiasm from both fans and the club’s management.
The forward expressed his excitement about rejoining the club, stating, “I feel so happy to be back to KCCA where it all started. I am eager to compete with my mates to help the club achieve its objectives. This place simply feels like home.”
Anaku’s return is expected to bolster KCCA FC’s attacking options, as he will join a talented group of forwards that includes Derrick Nsibambi, Abubaker Mayanja, and Emmanuel Anyama.
