Kitara FC maintained their grip onto the FUFA Big League thanks to a comfortable 5-1 win at home to Ndejje University on Thursday.
Patrick Kaddu who has now scored 10 goals, put the hosts on their way before Patrick Mugume, Edson Agondeze (brace) and Ronald Kayondo added the other four goals.
Vincent Abigaba scored Ndejje University’s consolation on a day they were out classed in all departments.
The win, sixth for Kitara ensured they bounced back to winning ways and move onto 20 points for the campaign, one above Mbarara City defeated Kyetume 3-1 on the same day.
For Ndejje, they suffer their fourth loss of the season and stay on nine points from nine games.
Elsewhere, Adjumani TC edged Kataka 1-0, Luwero United drew 0-0 with Police, Calvary were 3-2 winners away to Soroti, Kaaro Karungi and NEC played out a goalless draw, Northern Gateway were held to a 1-1 draw by Lugazi while Booma and Jinja North drew 3-3.
The FUFA Big League continued next Thursday with match-day 10.
