Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze has added another trophy to his recent FA Cup semi-final success, winning Chess.com’s amateur PogChamps tournament.
The England international pocketed $20,000 (£15,000) after defeating American YouTuber Sapnap in the final of the online event, which featured celebrity content creators and athletes.
Eze, who learned chess from former teammate Michael Olise, navigated a group stage before his decisive victory.
Crystal Palace celebrated his win on X, stating, “He can do it all.”
Eze’s chess triumph comes as the Eagles prepare for the FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 17th, following his strong season with nine goals and 11 assists.
