Jake Paul has had two titanium plates fitted and teeth removed after Anthony Joshua broke his jaw in two places during their heavyweight clash on Saturday.
The 28-year-old was stopped in the sixth round after hitting the canvas twice. Despite the injury, Paul remained defiant on social media, sharing X-rays of the double break and joking about fighting Canelo Alvarez in “10 days.”
Paul is on a 7-day liquid diet with an expected 4–6 week recovery time.
After a hiatus, Paul intends to return to the cruiserweight division to pursue a world title.
This marks Paul’s second professional defeat, following his previous loss to Tommy Fury.
“I’m going to take a little break,” Paul stated. “We will heal the broken jaw, come back, and fight people my weight.”
