Lautaro Martinez converted a 37th‑minute penalty before setting up Giuliano Simeone’s strike on 54 minutes. Lionel Messi, recovering from a hamstring injury, stayed on the bench.
Giovani Lo Celso hit the bar and Tomas Aranda forced a save, while Honduras offered little threat.
Coach Lionel Scaloni said the team’s identity remains intact as they prepare to face Iceland on Tuesday, ahead of their World Cup opener against Algeria on 16 June.
