Christian Eriksen says he is “doing well” after collapsing during Denmark’s friendly against Ukraine in Odense. The 34‑year‑old spent the night in hospital but is now home, confirming his “recovery has already started.”
The game was abandoned in the 65th minute after Eriksen fell to the turf, though his ICD device delivered a shock and restored his rhythm. Denmark’s doctor Morten Boesen said the pacemaker “responded as it should.”
Eriksen, who suffered a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, stressed this was “a different situation” and thanked teammates, medics, and doctors. He now plans to focus on recovery, family time, and playing football with his children.
