Chelsea Reportedly Eyeing Two England International Goalkeepers

Chelsea Football Club is rumored to be pursuing the services of two England international goalkeepers during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to recent reports.

Since the start of the season, Mauricio Pochettino’s side has relied on Spaniard Robert Sanchez as their primary goalkeeper, with Kepa Arrizabalaga moving to Real Madrid on a temporary basis. However, a severe knee injury to Sanchez in December led to Djordje Petrovic, a summer acquisition, assuming the starting role.

Petrovic has impressively started Chelsea’s last 19 Premier League matches, contributing five clean sheets and aiding the team’s recent surge in form. Despite his commendable performances, Petrovic is allegedly not seen as a long-term solution for the club.

Reports suggest that Chelsea has set its sights on two English goalkeeping talents as potential replacements for Petrovic. The first target is Aaron Ramsdale, whose future at Arsenal has become uncertain following the loan arrival of David Raya from Brentford. Ramsdale, who has made only six Premier League appearances this season, may seek new opportunities elsewhere, especially with Raya’s emergence as the Gunners’ preferred choice.

Another target for Chelsea is Everton’s Jordan Pickford. The 30-year-old has been a stalwart for both Everton and the England national team for several years, garnering praise for his performances despite Everton’s struggles in the Premier League.

With Chelsea monitoring the situations of Ramsdale and Pickford, it remains to be seen if either goalkeeper will make a move to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming transfer window.
