Paul Mucureezi Set to Retire from Football and Join Politics

Former Vipers and KCCA player Paul Mucureezi is set to announce  his retirement from professional football to pursue a career in politics. His current coach, Brian Ssenyondo, revealed the news on Monday evening during an interview on NBS Sport. Mucureezi, who currently plays for Kitara , has been instrumental in the team’s success, guiding them to their maiden Uganda Cup title and a debut season in the UPL.

Ssenyondo praised the forward for his leadership traits, which helped the team achieve great results. “Paul has been an exceptional player and leader. His experience and skills have been invaluable to the team,” said Ssenyondo. Under Mucureezi’s leadership, Kitara made history by winning the Uganda Cup, earning a spot in continental football. The team’s UPL debut season was also impressive, thanks in part to Mucureezi’s skills and experience.
