Power Basketball Club also known as Dmark Power have been relegated to Division One following a crucial 54-61 loss to Livingstone in their last game of the regular season.
This defeat sealed their fate, as they needed a win to keep their chances of remaining in the National Basketball League alive.
Power, a team with a storied history and five league titles, was outplayed by Livingstone, trailing throughout most of the match, despite a strong effort from key players like Soro Geofrey, who scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
The first quarter ended with Power narrowly leading 15-13, but Livingstone quickly took control in the second quarter, outscoring Power 17-3.
Despite a resurgence in the third quarter where Power scored 20 points, Livingstone maintained their lead and closed the game out in the fourth quarter with both teams scoring 16 points each.
This relegation marks a significant setback for Power, who have won the league title five times, a record only surpassed by City Oilers with nine titles and Falcons with six.
