Dianah Nyago Clarifies Emmanuel Ajo Transfer

Dianah Nyago, the owner of Busoga United FC, has fired back at SC Villa’s claims regarding the transfer of Emmanuel Ajo. In an appearance on NBS Sport, Nyago asserted that she is the sole owner of Busoga United and has complete control over the club’s decisions. She denied Villa’s claims, stating that Ajo was transferred to NEC FC, not SC Villa.

The transfer window officially opened on July 1, and the saga has already sparked controversy. Nyago also dismissed allegations that she had sacked the Busoga United CEO, rumored to be the mastermind behind the dealings with Villa.

Nyago’s remarks came as a response to SC Villa CEO William Nkemba’s earlier statement, where he claimed that Ajo was their player, signed through legal procedures. Villa had announced Ajo’s signing on their official handles, but NEC FC had also unveiled him as their signing before deleting the post later.

When questioned about Busoga United’s poor performance, which led to their relegation, Nyago attributed it to player fatigue, promising that the team will return stronger after a well-deserved rest.

Okorotum Jonathan, CEO of NEC FC, last evening live on NBS Sport  confirmed the signing of Ajo from Busoga United, stating, “We signed Emmanuel Ajo from Busoga United, and he is now our player. I’m finalizing the paperwork to complete the signing.”

The transfer saga continues, with both clubs vying for the player’s services. The Football Union of Uganda (FUFA) has yet to comment on the matter having declined the invitation to the TV show hosted by Micheal Kigozi
