Kitara have signed midfielder Titus Ssematimba to a one-year contract, with the player set to remain with the club until June 2025.
Ssematimba, known for his exceptional passing range, close ball control, creativity, dribbling skills, and playmaking abilities, will be donning the Royals’ colors and calling Hoima his new home.
Ssematimba makes the move to Kitara from Wakiso Giants, where he spent two successful seasons after initially joining from St Lawrence University.
The midfielder’s arrival is a key part of Kitara’s preparations for their upcoming campaign in the CAF Confederations Cup, which starts next month.
Coach Brian Ssenyondo is actively reshaping his squad, and Ssematimba’s signing follows the recent additions of Ronald Otti and David Ndihabwe.
Upon his unveiling, Ssematimba expressed his enthusiasm about joining Kitara.
“I’m excited and already feel welcome here. I’m keen to write a new chapter with Kitara and hope it will be a good experience. I want to give my very best, better myself as a player, and help my new team win games and more silverware,” he stated.
Ssematimba’s addition is expected to enhance the team’s squad depth, providing competition for positions with players such as Frank Tumwesigye, Okwalinga Solomon, Frank Yiga, Kabon Living, and Jude Ssemugabi.
