The Confederation of African Football has appointed Sudanese officials to take charge of the CAF Champions League second round qualification first leg between Vipers SC and DR Congo’s TP Mazembe.
The clash will be played at the St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende on Sunday afternoon with the hosts hoping to take an early advantage in the tie.
FIFA referee Sabir Mohamed will be the centre referee and he will be assisted by compatriots Abdallah Ibrahim and Haitham Elnour as the first and second assistants, respectively.
Another Sudanese official, Alamin Alhadi Alamin will be the fourth official while Micheal Gasingwa of Rwanda has been appointed as the match commissioner.
Meanwhile, a Ugandan native, Bugingo Apollo Ahimbisibwe will be the Covid-19 Officer.
Vipers took care of Central Africa Republic side Olympic Real De Bangui 4-0 on aggregate to progress to the second round while TP Mazembe were handed a bye.
The second leg of the tie will be played a week from Sunday with the winner on aggregate progressing to the lucrative group stage of the competition. The losser will drop to the qualification round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
