Karim Ndugwa scored nine minutes from time as BUL FC overcame Onduparaka FC 1-0 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Wednesday afternoon.
In the game played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, the two sides were headed for a stalemate before Ndugwa rose highest to head past Mathais Muwanga in the Onduparaka goal and hand the Eastern Giants victory.
The win is BUL’s fourth of the season and it sees them move to 14 points from six games. Alex Isabirye’s side who are still unbeaten in the League, this season, are now four points clear of second placed SC Villa.
For Onduparaka, this is their second defeat of the campaign and they stay bottom of the standings with just a point.
In their next fixtures, BUL will be away to Express FC on Tuesday, November 08 while Onduparaka welcome Busoga United to Bombo, four days later.
The StarTimes Uganda Premier League resumes on Friday with Arua Hill SC hosting UPDF FC at the Barifa Stadium in Arua while defending champions Vipers SC entertain Maroons FC at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
