NEC FC recovered from a goal down to defeat Adjumani TC 4-2 in a FUFA Big league game held at the Coffee grounds in Bugolobi on Thursday.
All four of NEC’s goals came in the second half through Derrick Ssekiranda, Richard Ajuna, Marvin Kavuma and Ivan Kamoga.
Adjumani had forged a way ahead in the opening half when Joel Indi Aldo capitalised on a poor clearance to slot into the back of the net.
But after the break, NEC responded with two quick goals in a space of three minutes. Ssekiranda headed in from a well delivered free kick before Ajuna slotted in from close range.
Kavuma doubled NEC’s advantage on 66 minutes and after Nasur Sadik reduced the deficit, Kamoga put the result beyond doubt with NEC’s fourth.
The win sees NEC climb into 5th with 16 points while Adjumani stays on 8 points for the campaign.
