Adjumani had forged a way ahead in the opening half when Joel Indi Aldo capitalised on a poor clearance to slot into the back of the net.

But after the break, NEC responded with two quick goals in a space of three minutes. Ssekiranda headed in from a well delivered free kick before Ajuna slotted in from close range.

Kavuma doubled NEC’s advantage on 66 minutes and after Nasur Sadik reduced the deficit, Kamoga put the result beyond doubt with NEC’s fourth.

The win sees NEC climb into 5th with 16 points while Adjumani stays on 8 points for the campaign.

In Thursday’s other results, Calvary thumped Luwero United, Jinja North were 2-1 winners at home to Northern Gate Way, Kyetume drew 1-1 with Booma while Lugazi took care of Kaaro Karungi.

FUFA Big League action resumes on Friday with Ndejje University at home to Mbarara City. On Saturday, Kataka hosts Soroti City at Njeru.
