Express FC’s poor run of form continued on Wednesday as they drew 0-0 at home to Blacks Power.

The Red Eagles who have not won any of their past seven matches, struggled to curb open a Blacks Power back-line that clicked on the day.

Express lacked composure in the final third and skewed away the few scoring opportunities they created.

Youngster Hassan Mubiru sent his over the bar with the keeper beaten in the opening exchanges.

Mustafa Ntege rattled the crossbar but it wouldn’t have counted after the referee had already signaled for an offside, in the build-up.

Arthur Kiggundu headed direct at the keeper while substitute Ivan Mayanja forced a save from the keeper before Faisal Ssekyanzi failed to find the target.

Express have gone four straight home games without scoring a single goal and this is a concern for James Odoch who saw his side go top at one point in the campaign.

Express finish the first round in 9th with 14 points from as many games while Blacks Power jumped out of the relegation zone with 11 points.
