NBS Sport, Uganda Rugby Union Launch 2022/23 Nile Special Uganda Rugby Premier League Season Broadcast

NBS Sport, Uganda’s first-ever and only 24-hour sports television station, has with the Uganda Rugby Union (URU) this morning launched the 2022/23 Uganda Rugby Premier League Season Broadcast. The live broadcasts will provide an opportunity to showcase the sport to a wider audience and help grow the popularity of Rugby, whose coverage has been limited over the years.

“The Nile Special Rugby Premier League kicking off at various grounds promises to be the most exciting and competitive yet. Team preparations are in high gear and we know the fans are also looking forward to the return of 15s action. With URU’s ongoing partnership with NBS Sport, this promises to be a greater experience for fans with all the plans we have in store,” said Isaac Nsubuga Lutwama, the new Uganda Rugby Union CEO.

In addition, the broadcasts will also provide an opportunity to showcase new talents in the game and provide them with a national platform to shine.

“We are excited to announce that the 2022/23 Nile Special Rugby Premier League season will be broadcast live on NBS Sport. Our viewers can expects in-depth analysis, insightful interviews, and expert commentary to enhance their viewing experience and knowledge wherever they will be. This season, we are particularly thrilled to showcase the new talents that have emerged from Uganda. We shall be providing them with a platform to showcase their skills on a national level, which should also give them exposure on the global stage. Championing Ugandan Sport is our commitment to Uganda, and we are happy to have yet another topflight sporting offering for the NBS Sport viewers, said Desire Derekford Mugumisa, the Next Media Head of Corporate Affairs.

NBS Sport will broadcast live matches from the Nile Special Uganda Rugby Premier League every Saturday starting 2:00 PM, giving viewers a 360 action of the best teams and players in action. This partnership will ensure that high-quality broadcasts are produced, providing a great viewing experience for fans. The coverage will be supported by social media and other promotional campaigns.
