The Toyota Buffaloes beat the Plascon Mongers in a closely contested game

The Kyadondo-based Toyota Buffaloes emerged victorious over the Plascon Mongers in a toe-to-toe game.

The Toyota Buffaloes managed to ace the Mongers 20-19 in a game that seemed more favorable for the Mongers.
Mongers started the game solid, letting no chance for the host to penetrate through their defense, and they managed to get an early opener from a successful drop kick.
The Plascon Mongers extended the lead and dominated the first half, taking a 5-to-9 lead at the break.

Coming into the second half, the host Toyota Buffaloes picked up momentum, and with an early try and successful conversion, the game ended at 12:09.
The game became closely contested as both sides managed to tighten up defensively and use all the opportunities they could avail to make tires and convert correctly.
With a few minutes to the end of the game, the mongers managed to take the lead, but due to a defensive error, the host managed to run through them and get the late-deserved victory.

At the Kings Park Arena, the Pirates bounced back from their game-week seven loss by beating the Impis 36-10. This means the Makerere-based side has now lost three consecutive games, and they are yet to face Kobs in their next encounter.

• Pirates 36-10 Impis
• KOBs 54-00 Rhinos
• Hippos 43-08 Rams
• Buffaloes 20-19 Mongers
