Uganda Announces National Pool Team for 2023 All Africa Pool Championship

After two days of fierce competition, the national pool team that will represent Uganda at the  2023 All Africa Pool Championship has been unveiled. A total of 24 players entered the select tournament, but only 14, including 7 men and 7 women, managed to secure their spots on the prestigious team.

In the men’s category, the following players have been selected:

3. Caesar Chandiga
4. Ibrahim Sejjemba
5. Joseph Kasozi
6. Ian Kazibwe

8. Mansoor Bwanika

These players demonstrated their exceptional skills and composure during the intense competition, earning them their places on the national team.

In the women’s category, the following outstanding players have earned their spots:

1. Amina Faith Nganda
2. Rukia Naiga
3. Rasheeda Mutesi
4. Marion Kisakye
5. Zaimatt Nabafu
6. Jacenta Kajubi
7. Rita Nimusiima

These talented female pool players exhibited their prowess on the table, securing their positions on the national squad.

The selection process was a testament to the depth of talent in Ugandan pool, as the competition was fierce, and the standards were exceptionally high. The final squad, composed of both experienced players and emerging talents, is expected to represent Uganda with pride and determination at the upcoming 2023 All Africa Pool Championship.

In other sports news, the 2023 National Basketball League regular season recently concluded, determining the teams that will participate in the playoffs and those that will be relegated to the first division.

In the Men’s post-season, the following teams will compete for glory:

1. City Oilers
2. Nam Blazers
3. KIU Titans
4. Power
5. Our Saviour
6. Ndejje
7. Kampala Rockets
8. KCCA

Expectations are high as these teams battle it out for the championship title.

In the Ladies’ post-season, the following teams have secured their spots:

1. JKL
2. KIU Rangers
3. JT Lady Jaguars
4. KCCA UCU
5. Magic Stormers
6. Miracle Ravens
7. A1 Challenge
