The video revolved around an incident during a recent game against Bologna, where Osimhen missed a crucial penalty kick. Napoli’s video appeared to ridicule him for his attempts to influence the referee’s decision to award the penalty. The video, which featured an unsettling sped-up voice, lacked context and seemed designed solely to mock the striker.
Although the video has been deleted and the club has not officially addressed the matter, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has hinted at the possibility of legal action. Calenda expressed his dissatisfaction with the video’s content, calling it unacceptable. He also highlighted the harm it caused to Osimhen, especially in light of media scrutiny and fake news he has recently endured. Calenda stated that they are considering legal action and any necessary steps to protect Victor.”
