The president of the Uganda Boxing Federation, Moses Muhangi, has received a nomination from The International Boxing Association (IBA) and has been approved to participate in the AFBC Presidential Election.
Mr. Moses Muhangi’s approval came from the Boxing Independent Integrity Unit (BIIU) – Nomination Unit, as he met all the requirements outlined in Articles 27.6, 27.7, and 27.8 of the IBA Constitution, making him eligible for the AFBC Presidential Election.
This significant election is set to take place on October 13, 2023, during the AFBC Extraordinary Congress in Durban, South Africa. Moses Muhangi, the president of Uganda Boxing Federation, will be competing against four other candidates hailing from various parts of Africa. These candidates are Berhanu Eyassu Wossen, El Kabbouri Mohamed, Mendouga Bertrand Magloire Roland, and Omo-Agege Siena Azania.
