KCCA FC showcased a resounding performance as they triumphed over NEC with a 2-0 victory at the Eric Omondi Stadium on Wednesday. First-half strikes from Muhammed Shaban, followed by a second-half goal from Ashraf Mugume, secured the win for the home side, revitalizing their campaign.
In a post-match press conference, KCCA FC’s Coach, Abdallah Mubiru, reflected on the team’s journey this season, acknowledging the challenges they faced early on.
“We had a very bad start to the season. It was shocking to us, including the players,” Mubiru conceded.
Addressing the team’s ongoing project and the process of rebuilding, Mubiru stressed the importance of patience and perseverance.
“It was a very big task for us to turn the season around, and we know that it is a process, and we shall get to where we want in due time,” Mubiru affirmed, highlighting the team’s determination to reclaim their competitive edge.
With the win, KCCA FC now sits 9th in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with 26 points. They face Viper Sports Club next and are aiming to build on their recent success and climb further up the table.
