Uganda’s national football team, the Uganda Cranes, are set to play two friendly matches in Morocco against Comoros and Ghana. This, according to FUFA will be in preparation for the AFCON 2025 qualifiers and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Head coach Paul Put has named a 26-man squad for the upcoming fixtures, slated to take place within the FIFA international window from 18th to 26th March 2024.
Notably, Captain Khalid Aucho and Abdul Aziizi Kayondo have not been selected due to injuries.
The first clash is scheduled against Comoros on 22nd March 2024, followed by a face-off with Ghana on 26th March 2024.
In the 2026 world cup qualifiers, Uganda sit fifth in Group G with three points, level with Mozambique, Botswana and Guinea.
