Former Vipers SC and Uganda Cranes winger Abdu Lumala has expressed his disappointment in Ugandan football, which he likened to a prison of judgment. Using a Snapchat social media handle affiliated with him, the winger acknowledged that his form dipped the day he decided to play in the Ugandan league

His statement read, ‘Honestly, my level had really declined the day I decided to come play at home. It was the worst decision ever. Everything is slow, and we don’t learn football. But in Europe, every day they demand more from a player, especially if you are a foreigner. I love the fact that I’m back to the football world, out of the prison of judgment.”

Abdu Lumala struggled with a series of injuries while at Vipers, which affected his performance at the club where under mutual agreement , his contract was terminated . In one of the Snapchat other posts, he was in a stadium that appeared to belong to the Croatian side NK Slaven Belupo, a professional football club based in the city of Koprivnica in the north of Croatia.
