The National Hockey League will return this weekend as teams gear up for action at the Lugogo Hockey Stadium.
In the men’s division, Wananchi Sports Club, who clinched the second spot last season, will clash with Kampala Hockey Club, who finished third. The game kicks off at 1 PM on Saturday, March 16 followed by Rockets facing off against Makerere at 4 PM.
On Sunday March 17, the action continues with Thunders battling WHC Titans at 12:30 PM, while City Lions take on Badgers at 3:30 PM.
The defending champions, Weatherhead will then lock horns with Kampala Hockey Club Originals at 5 PM.
In the women’s league, Thunders, who finished last last season, will challenge reigning champions Kampala Hockey Club at 2:30 PM on Saturday.
This will be followed by a face-off between Weatherhead and Wananchi at 5:15 PM.
On Sunday, Deliverance Church meets Wananchi HDF at 11 AM, while Makerere clashes with WHC Historicals at 2 PM to close out Week 1.
