As the Uganda Ludo National Super League gears up for its 2024 season kickoff, the reigning champions, 2023 Nakawa Market, had a procession with their trophy through Nakawa Market. The aim was to garner blessings from the local community, who also serve as the club’s main sponsors.
According to Gerald Sendawula, the Nakawa Division Chairman, this initiative is a strategic move to attract new supporters to the sport. He emphasized the importance of community engagement in fostering a strong fan base.
The league is scheduled to commence this Sunday March 17, featuring five exciting matches.
Nakawa Market will travel to Kazo Hill, while Gulu City takes on Ntinda United.
Additionally, Najjemba will face Masaka Giants, Nansana All Stars will host Buyende United, and Bulemezi will be hosted by Buloba A.
With anticipation building for the new season, teams like Buyende United who finished second last season will be looking to unseat Nakawa Market.
