Kitara Football Club head coach Brian Ssenyondo is poised to receive a contract extension.
Ssenyondo, who joined Kitara after the end of his contract with UPDF in June 2023, initially penned a deal that secured his services until 2025. However, the club is now eager to prolong his stay, a development confirmed by the club president, Deo Kasozi.
“We want stability in the club. The coach signed a two-year contract, and we want to extend it so we can continue with the current run,” Kasozi stated.
Ssenyondo has previously managed Synergy, Mbarara City, and UPDF, in addition to serving as an assistant coach for the U17 boy’s national team.
When Kitara unveiled Brian in June 2023, Club President Kasozi said he was hired to win games and play entertaining football. It is safe to say Ssenyondo has delivered on these expectations, guiding Kitara to the top of the Uganda Premier League table with 43 points, four ahead of second-placed BUL.
Under Ssenyondo’s stewardship, Kitara has notched up an impressive record of 13 wins, four draws, and four losses.
