The FUFA Executive Countrywide Tours have commenced with a significant meeting held at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga, where the Rubaga District Football Association, a member of the Kampala Region FA, gathered. The meeting was graced by the presence of FUFA President, Hon. Moses Magogo, who addressed the attendees.
“A player is not made in Namboole stadium but at the grassroots. We are here to share with you the football programs but also listen to you and find a way forward,” stated FUFA President Hon. Moses Magogo, emphasizing the pivotal role of grassroots football in player development.
Magogo further highlighted the indispensable importance of grassroots football, stating, “If football is not moving well at the grassroots level, then we won’t have success at the top. You’re the Ambassadors of the game and FUFA on the ground.”
The meeting is the first of many of the country’s football governing body’s stakeholders’ engagements. The team will be in Central Region for similar engagements as FUFA aims to strengthen the ties with local football associations.
