Two former champions Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Makerere University business school (MUBS) face off this Thursday in their semifinal return leg at the UCU grounds in Mukono. The two sides settled for a 1-all draw in the first played at the MUBS grounds in Nakawa with Sudgir Bib Saidi scoring for MUBS in the opening half before Godfrey Gaganga leveled matters in the second stanza. UCU will hope to back on their away goal as the search for their second title continues while the visiting two-time champions hope to make pedigree count.
“We created numerous chances in the first leg but only took away one. That is not good in games like these but we have rectified that and I believe we shall look better in the return leg. The first leg is now a gone case and we are focusing on this one which will come with a totally different tactical approach,” noted Kintu.
Nkumba University beat Kampala University 1-0 in their semifinal first leg on Tuesday at Luzira grounds courtesy of Ndase Tony own goal in the 12th minute.
