Super Eagles Star Accuses Wife of Fraud and Adultery, Threatens to Quit Football

Super Eagles striker Olanrewaju Kayode has brought forth grave accusations against his wife, Dora Kayode, alleging fraud and adultery involving Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, Soccernet.ng reports.

According to reports circulating on PM News, the turmoil surrounding Ezinne Dora Kayode involves a web of controversies, including allegations of infidelity, deceit, and even kidnapping.

The saga unfolds with revelations that Mrs. Kayode misled her husband regarding her age, concealing the fact that she was seven years older than him at the time of their marriage.

Furthermore, it is reported that Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, purportedly introduced to Mrs. Kayode through a connection with socialite Daddy Freeze, is alleged to have engaged in an extramarital affair with her.

Reports suggest that Mrs. Kayode frequented orgies and spent extended periods away from home, allegedly in the company of Pastor Adegboyega.

In a distressing turn of events, Mr. Kayode claims that his wife utilised two Mercedes SUVs to finance the lavish lifestyle of Pastor Adegboyega and his associates.

Additionally, it is alleged that she conspired with individuals, including broker Ugochukwu Igboanugo, Jennifer Max Nduaguibe, and Lynda Dike Anulika, to unlawfully seize Mr. Kayode’s assets.

Adding to the complexity of the situation, the whereabouts of Mrs. Kayode’s three children have become unknown to the Nigeria international since Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Efforts by the Nigerian Police FCID Alagbon, under the supervision of AIG Idowu Omohunwa, to address the numerous complaints and petitions have thus far proven fruitless, with the stolen vehicles, properties, and kidnapped children remaining unrecovered.

Distressed by the ordeal, Mr. Kayode has reportedly attempted to take his own life twice and has allegedly terminated his football contract out of fear for his safety, citing threats from unidentified individuals, including purported members of law enforcement.

Despite these grave allegations, authorities have yet to issue a response. Soccernet.ng remains committed to providing updates on this unfolding situation.

At the time of reporting, attempts to reach out to Mr. Kayode for comment have been unsuccessful.

After a youth career at Marvellous FC, Kayode was on the books of Red Bull Ghana, ASEC Mimosas, and Heartland FC before leaving for Europe in 2013 to join Israeli club Maccabi Netanya.

Kayode moved to Switzerland in 2015 to sign for Austria Wien, where he enjoyed the most prolific period of his career, scoring 30 goals in 67 league games.

Manchester City were impressed with Kayode, and the English Premier League giants signed him on a four-year deal but immediately loaned him out to Girona for the 2017–18 season.

His spell in Spain did not turn out great, forcing Kayode to move to Ukraine to team up with Shakhtar Donetsk.

He would later play for four clubs within three years in Turkey, the last of which was Gençlerbirliği.

At the international level, Kayode was a key member of the Golden Eaglets squad that reached the final of the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup hosted by Nigeria.

He was promoted to the Flying Eagles and subsequently to the Super Eagles, making his debut for the senior team in a 1–1 draw with Senegal on 23 March 2017. The 30-year-old has four caps for the three-time African champions.

After Kayode married Dora, a trained lawyer and self-acclaimed first FA-licensed female football agent in Nigeria, she began representing her husband as his agent.
