Uganda beach soccer association (UBSA) has announced adjustments in the kickoff dates of this year’s Samson Muwanguzi cup. The tournament that was due 14th April will now commence on May 12th still at the FUFA technical center in Jinja. The tournament shall be played in a knockout format and each participating team shall be allowed to register a maximum of twenty (20) players. League clubs shall use their player licenses for the ongoing FUFA beach soccer league season while non-league teams shall present the required documents for their players to attain licenses. The tournament that is played in the memory of late Samson Muwanguzi, one of the founders of the game of beach soccer in the country, was started in 2017 and returns after four years. St Lawrence University come as the record winners having lifted the association’s biggest cup tournament twice in 2018 and 2019 after inaugural 2017 winners Stormers beach soccer club.
