In a surprising turn of events, URA FC has announced the departure of Head Coach David Obua, along with his first assistant Peter Byaruhanga Adyeri , and fitness coach Kawa.
According to the club, the decision comes after a mutual agreement between the club and Obua, terminating his one-year contract five months ahead of schedule.
Robert Mukasa will be URA’s caretaker coach for the remainder of the season and will be supported by Milosh, Allan Owiny, Robert Ssentongo, and Goalkeeping Coach Swaibu Ssebagala.
Obua’s tenure, which started in November 2023, saw the team compete in 20 matches across various competitions, resulting in 8 wins, 8 losses, and 4 draws.
The former Cranes star is the second manager to depart a Uganda Premier League side after Vipers sacked Livingstone Mbabazi at the start of this week.
