Serena and Venus Williams will reunite at Wimbledon after receiving a doubles wildcard. The pair, six-time champions together at SW19, last played side by side at the 2022 US Open.
Serena, 44, recently returned at Queen’s and is sharpening her comeback with doubles in Berlin before joining Venus on grass. Venus, 45, has struggled in singles this season but remains a five-time Wimbledon champion.
Elsewhere, Stan Wawrinka and Grigor Dimitrov were granted singles wildcards, while Britain’s Dan Evans missed out in what could be his farewell tournament. French Open runner-up Maja Chwalinska also earned a spot.
Wimbledon begins 29 June, with the Williams sisters’ return set to be one of the highlights.
