NBS Sport Cheers on the Second Outing of 2024 Corporate Games

NBS Sport, a dedicated supporter of Ugandan sports, was thrilled to witness the success of the second outing in the Corporate Games Uganda season this past Sunday.

Over 2,000 participants from various companies across Uganda braved the rainy weather, showcasing their athleticism and team spirit in a diverse range of sporting activities. These included basketball, volleyball, football, netball, athletics, darts, and chess.

“The turnout was fantastic despite the rain,” said Jude Akampurira, Manager of the Corporate Games. “It truly emphasizes the growing enthusiasm for these events among Ugandan corporations.”

The friendly competition was evident on the court and field, with NBS Sport’s own basketball team captained by Sera Yaweh who is also the A1 Basketball Club Captain putting on a strong performance. Akampurira highlighted the positive impact of the games, extending beyond the realm of sports.

“We’ve seen participants using these events for networking, even for job opportunities,” he revealed. “The atmosphere fosters connections that can have a lasting impact, Interestingly, four couples have reportedly met at the games and are now married!”

Companies like Lato Milk, the Judiciary, Absa Bank, and many others continue to find value in participating. Mathias Kamukama, Head of Sales and Business Development for Lato Milk, echoed this sentiment.

“We’re having a great time at the Corporate Games,” Kamukama said. “We’re currently building a strong basketball team and are excited to compete further. The large number of participants presents a valuable opportunity for brand exposure, something we appreciate.”

The next exciting chapter of the Corporate Games unfolds on May 12th 2024.
