12-year-old table tennis prodigy Patra Nasirumbi showcased her prowess on the court, propelling Uganda to a resounding victory over Madagascar at the ITTF East Africa Regional Championships. Nasirumbi’s exceptional performance was pivotal as Uganda swept the series 3-0, clinching victory with remarkable ease.
Alongside Nasirumbi, Nangonzi Judith and Nakawala Jemimah also delivered standout performances, contributing significantly to Uganda’s triumph in the series.
Nasirumbi’s remarkable achievements extend beyond this single victory, as she has already secured a coveted spot on Uganda’s national team at such a tender age. Her talent and dedication were evident not only in the match against Madagascar but also in Uganda’s previous triumph over Djibouti, where her contribution played a crucial role in the team’s 3-0 win on the opening day of the tournament.
Such stellar performances have not gone unnoticed, as Nasirumbi’s recent accomplishments have earned her the privilege of representing Uganda at the Africa Youth Championships in Botswana.
The tournament is still ongoing at the MTN Arena in Lugogo with the finals scheduled for Thursday, April 25th.
