Coach Botes Names Provisional Squad for FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

Crested Cranes Head Coach Sheryl Botes has unveiled a provisional squad of 32 players for the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

The Uganda U17 Women’s National Team, also known as the Teen Cranes, is gearing up to face off against Zambia in the qualifiers. The first leg is set to take place on May 12th at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka with the return leg scheduled for May 17th, 2024, at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

In preparation for the qualifiers, the squad will enter a residential camp commencing on April 28th, 2024, at Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisasi.

Uganda’s journey to this stage has been marked by impressive performances, having secured their place by defeating Cameroon. On the other hand, Zambia earned their spot by eliminating Tanzania.

The the winner between Uganda and Zambia will progress to the final qualification phase, where they will face either Morocco or Algeria.
