Joseph Sebatindira, a 9-year-old sensation in the world of table tennis, has been making waves with his remarkable achievements. Last year, the young prodigy clinched a gold medal at the World Table Tennis Championship in Egypt, which also happened to he his international debut.
Continuing his winning streak, Sebatindira emerged victorious in the East Africa Regional Championships qualifiers held in Lugogo, solidifying his position as a rising star in the sport.
However, his journey faced a setback in the East Africa Regional Championships held in Lugogo, where he was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Razafinarivo Antoine. Despite the unexpected early exit, Sebatindira secured a commendable position in the top five rankings.
His quarter final exit means he misses out on the opportunity to compete in the ITTF Africa Senior Championships in Ethiopia in October this year.
Despite falling short individually, Sebatindira played a pivotal role in securing a silver medal for the mens’ team, in the team event.
